Description

Solanum mellobarretoi is an andromonoecious shrub, typically growing between 0.3 to 2.5 meters tall, with the entire plant being viscid. It produces greenish flowers with purplish corollas, distinct purple veins, and yellow anthers. Its juicy fruits are initially greenish, maturing to an orange color, featuring a viscid, shiny pericarp and exhibiting explosive dehiscence.
