Traditional UsesTraditionally, Nicotiana species, including potentially N. ameghinoi, have been used by indigenous cultures for ritualistic purposes, as a psychoactive substance, or as a strong emetic/purgative. Due to its high toxicity, internal use is extremely dangerous and not recommended for general medicinal purposes. External applications for pain relief or as an insecticide might also have been employed.

Description
Nicotiana ameghinoi is an herbaceous plant, typically forming a basal rosette of somewhat lobed or undulate leaves, from which an erect flowering stem emerges. The stem bears smaller leaves and numerous tubular flowers, characteristic of the Nicotiana genus.
