Natural HabitatFound on the edge of a plateau northwest of Gawen, Somalia, at an altitude of 310 meters. It grows in very deep sandy clay loam, often in erosion gullies, within a grassland environment scattered with Terminalia polycarpa and Grewia cerasifera. In the gullies, it co-occurs with Boscia Dichrostachys kirkii, Cadaba rotundifolia, Maerua subcordata, and Commiphora aquifolium.
