Description

Solanum leptacanthum is a spiny shrub reaching 5 feet tall, characterized by stems covered in stellate green pubescence and alternate, oblanceolate, lobed leaves with spines on both surfaces. It produces white, 4-merous flowers, either solitary or in racemes, and pendant, spiny, ovate fruits that mature from dark green to yellow. The fruits measure approximately 2 x 1.5 cm and are borne on 5 cm long pedicels.
