Juanulloa globifera is a scarce hemiepiphytic plant with a brown, lenticellate stem that is quadrangular towards the apex. Its lustrous leaves are discolored green on the adaxial side with yellowish-green venation, and light green with ocher velvety pubescence on the abaxial side. The aromatic inflorescence, an umbel, grows beneath the leaves, featuring a purple calyx with cream lenticels and a tubular corolla that is abaxially purple and adaxially white.
