Description

This plant is a climbing vine, reaching 2 meters or more in length. Its leaves are slightly coriaceous, dark green on the upper surface and paler beneath. The sepals are pale green, sometimes blackish grey at the base, and paler above, while the corolla is a deep reddish-purple on the inner surface with a darker center, paler outside, and flares gradually towards the apex.
