Bonamia nzabii is a liana, growing up to 8 meters high. Its leaves are papery, with a somewhat glossy dark green upper side and a dull, darkish green underside. The sepals are palish green and covered in pale grey hairs, while the corolla is white with pale brownish grey hairs on the outside.
