Description
Solanum papuanum is a 3-4 meter tall shrub characterized by stellate hairs on many parts and stems armed with small prickles. Its subcoriaceous leaves are paired, rugose on the upper surface, and covered with light brown tomentum underneath. It produces nodding inflorescences with up to 10 five-merous flowers, which develop into globose, red berries about 8 mm in diameter with persistent sepals.
